I’m Carla Lima, singer and composer, and through my music and related projects I inspire people to connect with the joy of life. I create and perform classical, instrumental and meditative music.
The images in my videos are from my real life because I believe in art as part of everyday experiences. It is my intention to inspire you to live a healthy life, connected with yourself and the universe, with inner and outer harmony.
Since my childhood I have been interested in music, dance and art in general, but I repressed these abilities as a result of trauma from the many forms of abuse I have suffered. In a turning point of my life, I started work on my own voice to unlock my singing and it was part of a major healing in all areas of my life.
I create the project ‘Singing and Trauma’ to help people resolve emotional blockages to sing through an approach of self-knowledge and respect of their bodies and their emotions. I also run a blog to share useful information and discuss a variety of subjects that, at first glance, there is a non-obvious relation to music.
Sometimes all we need is space to be with ourselves without pressure to find our essence. In this world where mental health issues are an alarming reality, when the global conjuncture demands a change in consciousness, music is a great tool for healing and reconnection.
